Onyx PC Modes

The Onyx software is identical to all consoles in the Onyx platform and a powerful PC version that can operate up to 128 Universes of DMX.

Onyx is not a console offline editor, it is custom designed for the use on laptops and touch screen tablets and a fully supported part of the Onyx system. It also makes a fully featured remote work station over X-Net.

For a full chart of current and legacy hardware mode unlocks, see Onyx Licensing.

Please note that the ability to process a high amount of DMX Universes requires a powerful PC system with a minimum Intel core i5 processor for 64 Universes and 8GB RAM. SSD drives are mandatory for reliable operation.

A Core i7 is required for 128 Universes. Universe availability does not imply that the PC system is capable to calculate all available parameters.
