ONYX Licensing

ONYX features a simple and powerful licensing system.

No unlocks are required for Universes or networked processing nodes on ONYX consoles. All processing is handled directly by the console or PC hardware.

Each embedded system supports the maximum number of Universes its hardware can process. Universes can be freely assigned within the 1–255 range, though output is limited to the system’s supported maximum.

ONYX can also be installed on Windows PCs and supports up to 128 Universes when activated with an ONYX USB key or compatible USB hardware.

Note: Only one license can be active on a system at a time. When multiple licenses are connected, ONYX will automatically detect and activate the highest available license.
