Local DMX Menu

The Local DMX Menu is new in 4.8 and replaces the previous USB2DMX Menu for assigning universes to local attached DMX ports.

This Menu was updated in 4.32.1303

This includes the following devices:

  • NX4 (4 Local Outputs)
  • NX2 (4 Local Outputs)
  • NX1 (4 Local Outputs)
  • NX-Wing (4 Local Outputs)
  • NX - W (4 Local Outputs
  • NX-P (4 Local Outputs)
  • NX-Touch (1 Local Output)
  • NX-DMX (2 Local Outputs)

From this menu, you can:

  • Name Devices
  • Assign the DMX port as an Input or Output
  • Assign the DMX Universe
  • Assign Wing ID's
  • Adjust DMX Timings

 

Control Description

Device Selection

Selects the device to change the DMX setting on

 

Selected Device Settings / Information

 

Name - User-defined name of the device

 

Wing ID - sets the wing ID of the playback section of the device (for more information, see Wing ID's)

 

Device Type - Hardware Model

 

Firmware Version - Internal Firmware Version

 

RDM Status - Indicates if the device is capable of RDM on the local DMX ports.

 

Timings - DMX timing selection

  • Default - Uses Default DMX timings set by Onyx
  • Custom - Allows for Custom DMX timings to be set per port.
